Welcome to the Food Loss & Waste (FLW) cause & intervention tool.

In order to stimulate action to reduce Food Loss & Waste, this tool will guide you towards appropriate intervention options.

Acknowledgements: This tool was developed by Wageningen Food & Biobased Research. It was commissioned via a project called 'Consortium for Innovation in Post-Harvest Loss and Food Waste Reduction' and funded by the US Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (Grant DFs-18-0000000008) and The Rockefeller Foundation (Grant 2018 FOD 004).

Disclaimer: The contents of this tool were based on an inventory from literature and with various experts. Although the developers strived for addressing most common FLW issues, it is expected that the system will not identify all possible causes of FLW and options for FLW reduction interventions. The content of this tool is solely the responsibility of the developers and does not necessarily represent the official views of the sponsors.
